The Catch Basin Filter

The catch basin filter insert helps prevent hydrocarbons and other contaminants such as antifreeze, metals, sand, silt, and litter from seeping into storm water runoff.

The catch basin filter is also used post-construction to replace the GEO-TRAP™ series media (used during pre-construction for sediment and dust control).

Product Specifications:

  • Constructed from non-reactive high density polyethylene plastic with UV inhibitors
  • Round, square, rectangular and custom models available
  • Easy-to-install in new and existing storm drain inlets
  • Patented design includes high nominal flow and high overflow capacities
  • Easy-to-maintain filter insert allows for quick and easy servicing
  • Filter insert includes a replaceable media cartridge for removal of hydrocarbons, metals, antifreeze, sand, silt, and litter
  • Filter media is non-hazardous and meets EPA and OSHA standards

Curb Inlet Filter

Just like the catch basin filter, the curb inlet filter insert helps prevent hydrocarbons and other contaminants such as antifreeze, metals, sand, silt, and litter from seeping into storm water runoff.

Curb inlet filters are constructed from high impact polystyrene plastic with UV inhibitors. Rubber is added for increased impact resistance.

Product Specifications:

  • 40% of the plastic comes from recycled content
  • Easy-to-install in new and existing curb opening storm drain inlets
  • Patent-pending design includes high nominal flow and high overflow capacities
  • Filter insert includes a replaceable media cartridge for removal of hydrocarbons, metals, antifreeze, sand, silt, and litter
  • Filter media can be removed through the curb opening for quick and easy servicing
  • Filter media cartridge is constructed of durable geotextile fabric woven with perforated polypropylene
  • Filter media is non-hazardous and meets EPA and OSHA Standards

StormFilter® Cartridge

With multiple cartridge heights available, you now have a choice when fitting a StormFilter® system onto your site. The 27” cartridge provides 50% more treatment per square foot of system than the previously standard 18” cartridge, making it possible to meet the same treatment standards with fewer cartridges and a smaller system. If you are limited by hydraulic constraints, choose our low drop cartridge (12″), which provide filtration treatment with only 1.8 feet of head loss.

Oil Absorbent Filters

SWIMS offers replacement oil-absorbent filters for interceptors and catch basin cartridges.
The interceptor filter is a white pillow-like filter located at the outlet compartment of the interceptor that absorbs oil and gas. It should be replaced when it turns dark brown or grey.

The catch basin filter removes hydrocarbons, metals, antifreeze, sand, silt, and litter, is non-hazardous and meets EPA and OSHA Standards.

StormTek

In 2016, we acquired the full trash capture manufacturing company StormTek. The StormTek full trash capture device provides a simple, yet innovative storm water quality solution for municipal, commercial and industrial markets. It features high pollutant removal efficiencies and is simple to install ,operate & maintain. StormTek’s overall cost is significantly lower than other types of ‘larger’ BMPs in the storm water treatment industry.

Drain Marker Program

We offer our maintenance contract customers a cost-effective drain marker program. For one low fee per marker we include installation and no-cost replacement if it is lost or damaged.
