About SWIMS: For more than 20 years, our crews have been ensuring that falling rainwater returns to our rivers and oceans clean and healthy for our environment. We inspect, install, and service thousands of underground filter systems all over California with expansion happening in several other states. We provide innovative solutions to the challenges faced by leaders of offices, retail stores, and construction sites regarding the management of storm water.

We have a position open to oversee and implement SWPPPs, inspect construction sites, investigate, sample, and monitor storm water discharges.
How You’ll Spend Your Days:
Working full-time Monday – Friday, you will:
- Provide technical expertise to storm water clients and QSPs for construction CGP.
- Prepare stormwater pollution prevention plans and related permit-required documents.
- Perform permitting, inspections, monitoring, and data management of our Storm Water Program, in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, specifically the California Construction General Permit
- Manage the investigation of storm water run-off, industry-related storm water quality, water quality compliance, and violations of NPDES & storm water regulations.
- Manage field sampling program, including training and sample location selection.
- Provide guidance to the team in all aspects of their work scopes including QA/QC review of sample results, writing corrective action reports, site compliance, BMP improvements, environmental compliance tasks and reporting, SWPPP writing, development, and implementations.
- Maintain project/client files and records.
- Prepare reports and correspondence.
Qualifications:
You bring:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience, and current QSP/QSD Certifications
- Familiarity with the upcoming Phase 4 permit process and regulations
- Knowledge of general construction, and linear construction projects for utilities.
- Proficient with computer applications including Google Earth, SMARTS, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Experience with electronic reporting applications for stormwater inspection & SMARTS website.
